Olga Penina is a graduate of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy from the Republic of Moldova and has a PhD in Medicine. She has experience teaching biostatistics and public health to medical students. Her research focuses on the epidemiological transition, long-term mortality trends and patterns by cause of death, mortality inequalities, and spatial analysis.
