Sergey Knyazev

Before joining Dr. Mangul’s Lab, Dr. Sergey Knyazev worked on AI algorithms to diagnose rare diseases at Dr. Pasaniuc‘s Lab at UCLA. Sergey also developed, bench-marked, and applied NGS data processing software for viral and metagenomic data at Dr. Zelikovsky’s lab at GSU and Dr. Swithzer’s lab at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He received an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Saint Petersburg Academic University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia State University (GSU).
